Stay with us

Stay with us at Outrun Nook

If you're looking for somewhere to stay in the Lakes (whether you're sailing or not!) here's our very own converted 17 th century barn at Outrun Nook. When the work was finally completed, it looked so good we almost moved in ourselves! Finished to a very high standard, the accommodation is ideal for two couples to share and still have plenty of room to escape. The accommodation is based on 3 levels and comprises two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, two lounges, and kitchen with dining area. The upstairs lounge has a vaulted ceiling, wood burning stove, a gallery for reading and dining and opens through French doors on to a patio with garden furniture and a barbecue.

Where are we?

Outrun Nook is 8 minutes from Bowness in a secluded spot down a meandering gated road that eventually leads to Ings village. Life down the gated road is never dull – there are magnificent walks or cycle rides from your door or simply sit and watch the world walk by on the Dalesway (if you want to borrow a dog for your walk we can even arrange that!)

Local attractions

Two of Cumbria’s best pubs, the Watermill Inn at Ings and the Sun Inn at Crook, are only 30-40 minutes walk away through glorious countryside (or 10 minutes by car if you are feeling less energetic).

Windermere is only a few minutes away and we can arrange all kinds of watersports from water skiing and wake boarding to sailing or canoeing.

Outrun Nook is an ideal hideaway for walking, cycling or just relaxing after a day's sailing.
